Optical solitons with dual-power law nonlinearity
Abstract:
The multiple-scale perturbation analysis is used to study optical solitons
that are governed by the nonlinear Schrodinger's equation with dual-power
law nonlinearity. The WKB type ansatz of the perturbed soliton captures
the corrections to the pulse where the soliton perturbation theory fails.
The perturbation terms that are considered here are nonlinear damping and
saturable amplification.
