Computer Algebra and Symbolic-Numerics solutions

Abstract:
Solutions of the partial differential equations of physics have been derived symbolically and numerically. Usually these approaches are treated separately. In the case of symbolic methods, the range of boundary-value problems that can be solved is smaller than is available to numerical methods. By combining symbolic and numeric methods, the range of symbolic solutions can be extended. This is shown using some examples of solutions from Classical Physics.
