Anatoly M. Samoilenko
On December 4,
2020, at the age of 83, the heart of an outstanding mathematician
Anatoly Samoilenko stopped beating. He was the long-term leader of the
Ukrainian school of differential equations and of the theory of
nonlinear oscillations, the founder of several world-famous scientific
fields: multifrequency oscillation theory and pulse system theory.
Anatoly Samoilenko was a scientific father for many recognised
scientists and professors of mathematics in Ukraine; a great and wise
person, teacher, Doctor of Physics and Mathematics, Professor,
Academician of the NAS of Ukraine, Honored Scientist of Ukraine. He was
awarded with State Prizes of Ukraine, and prizes of the NAS of Ukraine,
served as the Academician-Secretary of the Department of Mathematics of
the NAS of Ukraine, and was the Director of the Institute of Mathematics
of the NAS of Ukraine.
We convey our most sincere condolences to the family, relatives, friends and colleagues of Professor Samoilenko.
