Symmetry of the three dimensional Janeys-Cumming model

Abstract:
We consider the symmetry of the Jaynes-Cummings-like model for three-dimensional isotropically trapped ions and its diagonalization and exact solution. The generation of interesting entangled states, as for example GHZ-like states, is predicted.
