On the invertibility of infinite dimensional matrices
Abstract:
There are several good reasons to be willing to enlarge the classical
invertibility concept of infinite dimensional matrices. Some - and not the
least - find their roots in the study itself of (generalized) symmetries of
partial differential equations. In this talk I will propose a very natural
definition for this extension (gamma-invertibility) and describe its main
features. The concept of gamma-invertibility offers a great potential for
new and profound researches. I will try to illustrate this last point with
few examples.
This is a joint work with my colleague Richard Bourgin.
