Computing the branching rules for n-dimensional Coxeter group orbits
Abstract:
Branching rules for finite dimensional representations of simple Lie algebras
are widely used in applications. Here we
consider a related problem for orbits of finite Coxeter groups. It turns out that the new problem
is considerably less constrained than
the old one. That opens possibilities for applications that have no analogs in the representation theory.
Computational methods used
previously are still adequate or readily adaptable for the new problems. Representative examples are to be shown.
