Cosmological symmetry breaking and generation of electromagnetic field
Abstract:
Cosmological phase transitions accompanied by some
kind of symmetry breaking would directly cause the
production of primordial magnetic field and/or
indirectly seed it by the creation of topological
defects. Moreover, such procedure inevitably affect
the cosmic background radiation and it may be
observed today. Motivated by the modified gravity
theories associated with the vacuum energy problem,
we discuss their application to the cosmological
electromagnetic field generation.
