Conference Proceedings

Proceedings of Symmetry-2009 will be published as a special issue of the refereed electronic journal SIGMA (Symmetry, Integrability and Geometry: Methods and Applications).

How to Submit an Article to the Issue. The length of an article is not limited. Deadline for submission is November 15, 2009.

We would like to point out that SIGMA does not distinguish between regular papers, and the proceedings contributions: publication will be done only on the basis of the results of the peer review according to standard refereeing policy of SIGMA. Only the papers containing new results that were not published or submitted elsewhere are accepted for consideration. The reviewing process will be done in honest and strict manner without any concessions for "conference proceedings".

In this respect we would like to stress again that

  • We do not accept non-original papers. We check thoroughly whether a paper or any part of it is published in another publication, and if we reveal that we reject such paper at once.
Review papers will also be welcome, but they should not be simple reviews of authors' own work that is already published elsewhere. The detailed evaluation criteria are outlined on the journal's web site.
  • We send a paper for review to 3-4 high-class referees in the relevant field, and at that we intentionally so not say that it is for conference proceedings. For this reason we ask not to send us crude or second-rate results.
  • Each paper published will be indexed by Thompson ISI Web of Science, Scopus, CrossRef, as well as reviewed by MathSciNet, Zentralblatt MATH, and other databases.

Please pay your attention to other proceedings published in SIGMA.

If you have your paper ready earlier than the deadline, we encourage you to send it now. We will start the reviewing process and publish the paper as soon as the positive publication decision is made. The paper will be indexed in the relevant databases as soon as it is published without waiting for completion of the special issue.
