New families of Weyl group orbit functions

Abstract:
   Two types of orbit functions are well known from the Weyl formula for the characters of finite dimensional irreducible representations of simple Lie algebras. We constructed two other types of W-invariant special functions that exist for the simple Lie algebras of types B_n, C_n, F₄, and G₂. Those functions have different behavior at the boundary of the fundamental domain of the affine Weyl group and they are continuously orthogonal when integrated over the fundamental domain.
