International Conference

The Conference will be held in the Institute of Mathematics in the downtown of Kyiv on June 7–10 of 2017 and which is dedicated to the 100th Anniversary of Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Professor Yu. O. Mitropolskiy. The intention is to bring together young mathematical researchers. We expect that the Conference will be useful to all its participants in making new scientific contacts and interacting with the colleagues. Every participant will have the opportunity to present his/her work as a short talk (~15 minutes) or as a poster.
Yurii Oleksiiovych Mitropolskiy (03.01.1917 – 14.06.2008) is a famous Ukrainian mathematician. For 60 years of his scientific life, he obtained fundamental results in the fields of asymptotic methods of nonlinear mechanics, qualitative methods of the theory of differential equations, and dynamics of oscillation processes in nonlinear systems. In 1958–1987, he was the director of the Institute of Mathematics of the Academy of Sciences of the UkrSSR. Since 1987, he was the honorary director of the Institute of Mathematics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Prof. Mitropolskiy was elected a corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of the UkrSSR in 1958 and a full member of the Academy of Sciences of the UkrSSR in 1961. In 1984, he was elected a full member of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR. Prof. Mitropolskiy was a Foreign Member of the Bologna Academy of Sciences.
Conference languages are English and Ukrainian.
The deadline for registration is April 30.The registration fee of EUR 30 will cover organizing costs including coffee-breaks and the book of abstracts. There is the option of UAH 200 conference fee for participants from Ukraine. Payment details.
The book of abstracts will be published before the conference. To submit you abstract please prepare it as tex-file using template (see examples in English or Ukrainian) and send tex- and pdf-files to the conference email. The abstract should be no longer than 1 page. Only one submission per participant will be accepted
Unfortunately, we have no funds to cover travel and local expenses of the participants. If you need a formal invitation letter please supply us with your fax number or postal address, and with details that need to be included into the letter (e.g., for obtaining financial support from funds in your university, country or from international foundations).
The Organizing Committee does not arrange accommodation of participants. There are a number of hotels in Kyiv that can be booked via Internet. See, for example, booking.com There is also possibility to rent a flat for several days, see, for example, kiev-apartmentrental.com
