to be held in Kiev, Ukraine, on 31 October - 2 November 2000. Professor
M. A. Lavrentyev was a director of the Institute of Mathematics of NASU
from 1939 till 1948 and the vice-president of NASU during 1945-1948.
The program of the Conference envisages invited plenary lectures and section
talks, short communications and poster sessions.
Main topics of the Conference are concentrated around scientific traditions
of M. A. Lavrentyev, among which we mention complex analysis, geometric
and constructive function theory, quasiconformal mappings, potential theory
and partial differential equations, theoretic and applied mechanics and
related fields of science.
30 October 2000 is the arrival and registration day.
