Brian Rider (Temple University, USA)
The aim of this special issue of SIGMA is to provide a current overview of some recent developments in random matrix theory, random growth processes, integrable systems, statistical physics and asymptotics/universality in the above areas. The issue is in honor of the 70th birthday conference of Percy Deift held at the Centre Researches Mathématique in Montréal from June 7–11, 2015 and the 70th birthday conference of Craig Tracy held at the Simons Center for Geometry and Physics in Stonybrook from September 7–11, 2015.
The issue contains 14 papers with the total of 311 pages.
We would like to thank all the authors who have published papers in the issue, and to give our special thanks to all the referees for providing constructive reviews.
