International Conference «Problems of Theoretical and Mathematical Physics» dedicated to M. M. Bogolyubov 110th anniversary
On September 24-26, 2019, the International Scientific Conference “Problems of Theoretical and Mathematical Physics” dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the prominent theorist of physical sciences and mathematics M. Bogolyubov (1909-1992) was held in Kyiv. Studies by a world-renowned scientist relate to variational calculus, functional analysis, differential equation theory, probability theory, mathematical physics, statistical mechanics, quantum field theory, and elementary particle theory. Based on the research of MM Bogolyubov and his students, several scientific schools were formed in Kyiv. The conference was co-organized by the Institute of Mathematics of the NAS of Ukraine and the Institute of Theoretical Physics. MM Bogolyubov NAS of Ukraine.
The section "Mathematics and Mathematical Physics" was held at the Institute of Mathematics of NAS of Ukraine. It was attended by 35 participants, including 2 academicians and 2 corresponding members of the NAS of Ukraine, 15 Doctors of Sciences, 15 Candidates of Sciences, 4 postgraduate students, representatives of Germany, Kazakhstan, the Netherlands, Turkey. Scientific and educational centers from the following cities were presented: Eskişehir, Groningen, Kırklareli, Kramatorsk, Kyiv, Lviv, Mainz, Nur-Sultan, Odessa, Sloviansk, Zhytomyr.
The section was opened by the report of the Director of the Institute of Mathematics NAS of Ukraine Academician of NAS of Ukraine A. Samoilenko on the outstanding scientific results of Academician M. Bogolyubov. On the final day, A. Samoilenko summed up the work of the conference section, thanked its participants and organizers.
