Sergeichuk Volodymyr Vasylyovych
Dear collegues,
On February 13, 2021, Volodymyr Vasyliovych Sergeychuk passed away.
He was doctor of physical and mathematical sciences, Professor, Leading
Researcher of the Laboratory of Topology of the Institute of Mathematics
of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
Volodymyr Vasyliovych was born on August 17, 1949.
In 1971 he graduated from Kyiv National University, in 1975 he defended
his PhD theses, in 1993 he defended his doctoral dissertation, and in
2006 he received the title of professor.
He was an outstanding algebraist, a world-renowned specialist in the
theory of matrix problems, and the editor of the journal "Linear algebra
and its applications".
During his life he wrote about a hundred mathematical works. Everyone remembers him as a cheerful and bright man.
We bring our condolences to relatives, friends, colleagues, students and everyone who knew him.
His memory is eternal.
